Slingshot USA is winding up its affairs

What is happening

Following the sale of the rights to The DAVID film and the Young David series in October 2025, Slingshot USA has been distributing the proceeds to its investors. That distribution programme is now in its final stage, and the company is completing its dissolution.

Most investors have already been paid in full. If you have not yet received your full distribution, the balance is waiting for you in the investor portal.

What you will be paid

The amount paid out to investors is the net approved payout: the payout approved on your investment, less the related issuance expenses.

These expenses cover the final compliance, tax-reporting, escheatment and wind-down administration costs of closing out the liquidation. The deduction is applied pro-rata — the same percentage of the amount still owed for every investor affected. Your approved payout itself has not changed, and investors who were paid in full before the deduction took effect are not affected.

Your own figures are shown in the portal: approved payout, paid to date, balance remaining, the deduction, and the net amount payable.

How to view your account

1. Go to the investor portal at slingshot-productions.com/portal.html.
2. Enter the email address registered to your investment. You will be sent a login code by email.
3. Review your account to see your approved payout, what has been paid to date, the balance remaining, and the net amount payable to you.
4. Click “Payment request” to choose how you would like to receive any balance.

Holding a cheque? Please do not deposit it

All cheques previously issued to investors have been cancelled. If you are still holding one, do not pay it into your account — your bank will return it.

Any amount you are still owed has to be arranged afresh. Log in to the portal and use “Payment request” to choose ACH direct deposit or to have a new cheque issued.

After escheatment

Once your funds have been transferred to your state, Slingshot USA can no longer pay them to you directly. You will still be able to claim them from that state’s unclaimed property office. You can find your state’s office, and search for your money, at unclaimed.org — the site of the national association of state unclaimed property administrators.
